Drawdown Georgia is a statewide initiative working to catalyze a Georgia beyond carbon—a future where practical, cost-effective climate solutions strengthen our communities, economy, and quality of life. Rooted in rigorous research from Georgia’s leading universities, our work localizes the global Project Drawdown® framework to identify the 20 highest-impact climate solutions tailored to Georgia’s unique environmental and economic conditions.
For Georgia’s municipal leaders, Drawdown Georgia offers a trusted, nonpartisan resource to support data-informed planning and decision-making. Our Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trackers are the only place you can find Georgia-specific estimates of emissions for all 159 counties and 200+ cities, giving local governments a clear picture of where emissions come from and how they are changing over time. Our Solutions Tracker highlights statewide progress across all 20 climate solutions into accessible, actionable insights you can use to identify opportunities, benchmark local efforts, and communicate results with constituents.
Additional tools, including the Carbon Reduction Visualizer and a suite of expert-developed Climate Solutions Toolkits, help city and county leaders explore scenarios, evaluate pathways, and engage local stakeholders in practical, community-centered action.
Drawdown Georgia offers policymakers free access to localized data, Georgia-specific modeling and research, and solution pathways that are market-ready, cost-competitive, and equity-centered. These resources are designed to help local governments allocate limited budgets effectively, build community buy-in, measure progress, and advance initiatives that benefit public health, economic development, and resilience across Georgia.
